  America in Exile

This essay is about the immoral society of America. America has turned from the God of their forefathers and suppressed the truth and blessings of their nation that was granted by God her Creator. This Nation was founded upon the principles of religious freedom and liberty, but has committed spiritual adultery against the God who created her as a great and strong Nation. America has turned her back upon God’s Law and His righteousness and has turned its ways toward immoral sinful things of disobedience such as homosexuality, sexual perversion, murder in abortions of unwanted children, divorces, various crimes such as murder, stealing, perjury, rape, prostitution, excessive alcohol indulgence, smoking, gambling to include the lust of covetousness.

America has long forgotten their previous blessings from God as a Nation who survived two World Wars, a great depression, and recently the 911 crisis of September 11, 2001 when the Twin Towers were destroyed by terrorists. If we as a people of this nation will not return to the God of our Fathers we are asking for disaster that will only come with God’s judgment. America is headed down the same road as the ancient nation of Israel did because of their sin against God and their rebellion. We see in history that the children of Israel continued to rebel and sin against God and then judgment came and they were lead away into captivity in exile by first the Assyrians and then the Babylonians. If history repeats itself, the nation of America is headed toward captivity in exile as well. Listen to what the Bible tells us in Proverbs 14:34, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Other words, righteousness strengthens a nation but sin weakens it by the reproach of its people. We must once again publicly acknowledge God as our Creator and Lord, before our nation can once again be blessed. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” Psalm 33:12. America needs to bless God, before He can bless them as a nation.

We must return to the God of our fathers to receive His blessings of prosperity. We have seen injustice in our courts in this nation, where prayer has been taken out of our public schools and later on Roe vs. Wade in 1973 that allows murderous abortions of unwanted life itself. Just recently, we are told that we can no longer display the Ten Commandments that we as a nation received our civil law from. How much more is this nation going to decline in immorality? I love this nation and I am proud of its achievements, but I dislike what it has become. It has become a nation that has disregarded God and His grace. The Bible tells us in the book of Isaiah 5:20, pertaining to the last days “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” This is exactly what is happening today in our nation by people proclaiming good things to be evil and evil things to be good! Listen to the promise that God told King Solomon in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” These promises also applies to our nation as well, if we as a people would turn from our wicked ways, and pray and humble ourselves, God will forgive our sin and heal our land once again.

He will send blessings of healing rain upon our nation and its people. Why not seek the truth and turn to the living God for His restoration of our nation? Our God is the only one who actually can save our nation from the exile of sin and desolation. He has been proven time after time, and He has always come through in times of trouble and despair. He is our refuge and strength in times of trouble; seek Him while He may be found, “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13. For confession comes from the mouth and from the heart one believes unto righteousness. (Romans 10:9-10) How can we survive the wrath to come if we remain in our sinful desires? Judgment is coming, and our Lord is both Judge and King of all!
