Top notch, well-written, perfectly researched for period and characters. Edgar Allan Poe has a strong part and for that alone is worth the cost of admission. I finished this almost 500 page book in one sitting.
A crime has been committed in a boy's school in 19th century England. Edgar Allan Poe plays a small role in the story.
I generally do not write reviews, because I tend to believe that I need to give great deference to people's wide range of taste in the selection of reading materials. I tend to agree with the concept that books contain lives, and the more you read the more you add to your life. Every now and then, however, hiding inside a book is a demon which sucks life, and at the end of the book all you can say is "there is time I will never be able to get back." Avoid the demon.
