I am devouring all things Arthur Phillips, and haven't been disappointed yet. This book is somewhere between a ghost story, a suspense thriller, and a psychological novel - told from four viewpoints. Mesmerizing.

Really intriguing novel that takes place at the turn of the century. A mother believes an evil spirit is tormenting her young daughter and hires a spiritualist to help her. What follows is the story told from each character's perspective and an ending you won't expect.
