What a wonderful book and testimony of a young girls' faith in such difficult times! Even if you are not a Christian the message is clear in the end of this book to be aware of the ideals of Stalin, Hitler, and Commuinism that seep into the government and cultures of various countries today. So many people take for granted the freedoms and comforts that we all enjoy with our families, faith, jobs, and status. However, we should all read Jan Markell's book about Anita Dittman's experience and ask ourselves how we can avoid anything like this happening in the future. Government control of health, school, church, freedom, which leads to taking away personal rights should always be avoided.
