In Florence, Italy in 1966, the city experienced a terrible flood. Young volunteers from overseas came to rescue the buildings, paintings ans sculptures. They were known as the Angels of the Flood. Kate Holland was one of the Angels. She returned to England. She returns to Italy when someone sends her a crudely tampered painting. The trail leads her to deal with deception, blackmail and murder.
