A delightful text read like a dictionary, this book (much like "A Dictionary of Angels" by Gustav Davidson,) is a veritable trove of angel lore. Describing the celestial hierarchy as well as hundreds of names of specific angels and their histories, "Angels A to Z" is a welcome and valuable addition to your library of angel lore. The suggested Reading List at the end of the book is also nice bonus!

One could view this as an "abridged" version of "A Dictionary of Angels" to an extent, however the entries in this book are slightly to significantly different between the two, making it worthwhile to own both tomes. Upon first comparing the two, I had thought the names of angels were not to be found equally in both, but from what I can tell, the Appendix of "A Dictionary of Angels" contains most, if not all, entries that aren't found alphebetically in that tome but are found so in this book, so if you own one tome, the value in owning the other is entirely in the differently worded descriptions (or definitions if you will.)

A 5 star book; recommended!
