What are some of your favorite books about your favorite critters? I like Cats In the Sun. Lots of great pictures of cats.I also have Baby Animals, a photography book of pictures of baby animals.  Any other animal/nature photography books?

Hello, Rebecca!

I have two I really like a lot...Desmond Morris' "Catwatching" is full of interesting facts about cats and their behaviour. I bought a copy some time back, and realized I had picked up another copy by mistake.  !  Anyway, I like Morris' style of writing...he has a  light touch, but gives you a lot.

The other book that I treasure is "Cry of the Kalahari", which takes place in Africa.  It is a good read and the photographs are wonderful. There is a 2-page photo of young tigers...maybe 5 of them?...all drinking at a pond, their beautiful faces reflected in the water...smashing!

I've been reading Animals In Translation: Using the Mysteris of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior by Temple Grandin.  It's written by an autistic woman who studies animals, and finds out that autistic people and animals think a lot alike.  So far I love it, it's amazing!

I have Cats in the Sun and Smitten by Rachael Hale, both BEAUTIFUL photography books of cats! Cats are just some of the  most beautiful and intriguing creatures to photograph!
