Anne Jackson (born February 19, 1980) is an American author based out of Nashville, Tennessee who writes from a Christian perspective on topics such as sexuality and mental health.
Anne Jackson was born February 19, 1980. Her father was a Southern Baptist pastor who mainly taught at smaller, rural churches in West Texas. After several negative experiences in churches, her father left vocational ministry and her family moved to Dallas, TX.
Graduating high school as a junior, Jackson rapidly climbed the career ladder in corporate communication, working at two up-and-coming technology and design firms in Dallas. However, after several years away from the church and her faith, Jackson, needing a fresh start, moved to Kansas City, MO. In June 2003, she married musician Chris Jackson, and began working in communications at a local non-profit. In 2006, Jackson moved back to Dallas with her husband, to continue working in non-profits.
At the age of 25, Jackson experienced a severe physical illness related to stress and was hospitalized. After recovering, she conducted surveys of leaders in ministry and charity work to determine if stress was a common occupational theme. The surveys indicated many of these leaders were suffering physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually, with the results being the basis for her first book. In 2005, She also began blogging at FlowerDust.net.
In 2008, Jackson and her husband relocated to Nashville, TN where they currently reside.
