Cincinnati Reds catcher Ryan Jorgenson (played mostly in AAA) was suspended 50 games. They are saying if it's steroids. Two major leagers, Troy Glaus and Rick Ankiel got caught up in the investigation of the Florida pharmacy that was illegally selling prescription drugs over the internet. Both bought several times over a 1-2 year period. Ankiel bought HGH and Glaus was buying nandralone and something else. Gary Matthews Jr. was also on the customer list of the pharmacy. It seems he is no longer under suspicion as he only made one purchase. It's going to be interesting what MLB does with this. Their may be more pros on the customer list.

Add another to the list, Jay Gibbons. He was buying HGH and steroids after the ban. So, he has been kindly requested to talk to MLB baseball. He bought from the same online pharmacy as the others.

My understanding with Ankiel is that his HGH was purchased prior to the ban to help recover from his pitching injury--and yes, I want to believe that, I really, really do--just as much as I want to believe the Cardinals are going to start winning games again(they're on a 6 game skid right now). |
