So I'm reading the Invasion of Falgannon Isle.  I noticed the card insert for their bookclub.  One for historical and one for cont/paranormal.  You get 2 free books for signing up.  I'm assuming you don't get to pick out those books do you?  And the $8.95/month fee-how many books do you get for that?  The card doesn't say.  Just wondering.  Most likely I won't join as I have so many unread books as it is already.

It looks like two per month--here's their link online.  I've never joined the ongoing clubs just because my TBR is already huge...

I haven't heard of them but dont belong to any clubs myself though I've been tempted. I AM thinking about joing harlequin's blaze mailout though since I seem to like most of those.

I know I have so many books.  It's an addiction.  I just want to fill out the pretty pink card.

Hi gals,  I caved and did join the Historical Romance club.  I know this sounds lame, but I just LOVE getting books in the mail--especially new ones, and really especially a nice little surprise package.    I just got the first 2 books that were "free" you had to pay $2.00 for shipping.  Here is what I got:  Night of the Wolf by Elaine Barbieri and Warrior's Bride by Gerri Russell.  Now, I need more books like I need a hole in the head, but like I said LOVE getting books in the mail.

Mary, for the $8.50 a month you get 2 new release books, and no, you don't get to choose.  I got an insert in this shipment and the books for next month are:  Historical Club:  Sword of Rome by Constance O'Banyon and Grace by Deneane Clark.

The Love Spell Club will mail out:  Lady of Light and Shadow by C. L. Wilson (paranormal)  and Star Shadows by Colby Hodge (futuristic).

I'm going to give it a try and see if I overall like the books I get.  I'm sure I'll get books from authors I've never read or heard of i.e., the 2 books I just got. LOL  Hopefully, getting new books in the mail will keep me out of B & N.  I also just started getting the Blaze series mailed to me too.    I have had a fuzzy goal of reading a book a week, but I'd like to increase that a bit.  I'll keep everyone posted.

You get the two selections for the month for $10.50, inclusive of shipping/handling.  You can check what's coming up in the brochure that comes with your order or at their site (previews).  Also, any other books you order direct from them are at 30% discount, though with shipping fees.  You also get a free book for every 5 you order, then shipping is free if a large order (over 10).  With a huge TBR, I'll wait and then if several titles I want after a time, I'll order several at once to save on shipping and with the extra free books added in.
