I am looking for two books I had when I was a kid and loved but cannot remember the titles or authors: The first one was a picture book about a girl (I want to say her name was Eleanor but that could be wrong) who woke up one morning with antlers. The book goes on to tell how at first everyone was horrified but then they discovered all these great things she could do with her antlers, like hang out the laundry etc. Anyone know the name of this book? The second one was a collection of Christmas stories, I can't remember any of the stories except my favorite, which was about a polar bear cub at the north pole who wanted to bring back the rainbow to decorate Santa's tree, only he dropped it and it broke into tiny pieces. Santa used the pieces to decorarte the tree and that's how Christmas ornaments were invented. I remember this book having really pretty illustrations. If anyone recognizes either of these stories please let me know! thank you. |

The polar bear story sounds wonderful! Check over at www.abebooks.com They have a Booksleuth section there and the members are amazing at finding the books we can't remember! And if you find it, please let me know, I'd love to get that for my DD! |

I found that special too and was just going to reply about it. I had to look and see how to spell Imogene. It definately wasn't how I would have spelled it!! |
