I recently read It Starts With Food and there was a lot of talk about "leaky gut" and gut health.  Since then, I've learned about zonulin, which regulates "gut permeability" or "leaky gut."   I've also learned that obesity, depresion, arthritis and allergies may all be related to gut health.

Have I been completely out of the loop, or is this new stuff?
