I am looking for something new to read. I have read all of Laurell K Hamiltions Anita Blake books...They have been my current faves, I have also read just about all of Charlane Harris books, Julie Kenner(haven't read her 2 newest yet but I am gonna order them soon if they don't show up here or at my library)

Anyone have similar tastes want to recommend some good books for me

TIA!

LA Banks books are good...Anne Rice...her sister Anne Borchart, a lot of people who like Laurell K Hamilton are also reading Kim Harrison...if you want to try something different you could try Terry Brooks...His Magic Kingdom for Sale...Sold is pretty good...not in the vampire theme but good...and light.

MaryJanice Davidsons books are fun.  They're a lot lighter than the Anita Blake books.  Also Mooncalled by Patricia Briggs is really good.  There's a sequel, Blood Bound, that I haven't read yet.  And a third in the series that isn't out yet, as well.  You could also try Kerrelyn Sparks--she's pretty good too.  Start with How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire.

I second the Kim Harrison books.  Also, Kelley Armstrong and Patricial Briggs (oops, guess that's a 2nd for her as well)  for similar type genres.

You might want to look at Sherrilyn Kenyon or Christine Feehans books.  They both have some lengthy series - Carpathians and Dark-Hunters.

I started the Blood Ties series by Jennifer Armintrout.  I liked them pretty well.  The third book comes out in August.  I also read the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer.  It is for teenages but a pretty good read.  The third book for it comes out in August also.  Maggie Shayne has series of vampire books, they are romance but some of them a pretty good, I haven't read them all.

I've read the first two books in the The Black Dagger Brotherood series by J.R. Ward, and they've been great so far!

I second J. R. Wards Brotherhood of the Black Dagger series.  Also Keri Arthur's Riley Jensen, Guardian series starting with Full Moon Rising.  I love LKH. She has her Merry Gentry series too. Fairies and otherworldly humans instead of Vamps and demons.

All the others mentioned I have on my TBR pile. LOL
