I have several items of clothing that are difficult to iron for various reasons and I am wondering if anyone knows of a clothes steamer that actually works to replace ironing of a garment.  I take care of my own clothes to save money, such as hand washing instead of dry cleaning, and thought perhaps someone here would know of a good steamer that would help me save money on clothing care.  I hate to waste money on dry cleaning or pressing when I can do it myself.  Thanks for any tips or ideas anyone might have.

Its not a steamer, but sometimes il hang clothes in my bathroom, while i shower ( my shower is near the door, and i can hang a hanger on this screww that pokes out on the hinge) and it 'steams' it. :)

none of the steamers I've bought over the last 20 years has lasted long, regardless of whether it was a cheap or expensive one. the steamy shower seems to work just as well.

I bought one through QVC or HSN. it seems to work pretty good.
