Is there anyway to find out who has wishlisted a particular book?  I have a couple of nonpostables that are wish listed...and just wondered if there was anyway we could find out who has w/led to see if they would like a less than perfect book.  I do have a couple in my sig line, but I haven't added them all yet.

You can post in the Book Bazaar or the forum(s) for the book(s) genre(s) and offer them as freebies with an order from your shelf.

There's no way to find out if a particular person has a particular book on their WL.  Wish there were as I have 5 WLd unpostable books, and I've tried everything I can think of to get them to the attention of all those WLers, with no success.  If you find a way, I'd sure be interested.  Pat

There's a thread in the Mystery & Thriller forum called: Is this on your Wishlist? Mystery Edition.  I think the other genres also have the same type of topic.

I posted a couple of things there that weren't moving because of different ISBN's and try the Book Bazaar too.  I had a couple posted there that flew off my shelf the same day I posted them there.

Good luck

With different ISBNs you can make a tag on the WL one pointing them out.  Can't really do that with an unpostable.

There were a couple of discussions recently that said you can ask for a credit for an unpostable in the book bazaar.  Someone had asked PBS about this and were told that this was allowed.  What you can't do is post it to the WL and then PM the requestor and ask if they still want the book. But you can offer it in the bazaar, clearly state the damage to it and if someone is willing to pay a credit for it that's ok-because they know before they aks you for it that it's unpostable.  Now I don't know if everyone knows this or not. I haven't tried it so I don't know if you'd get a bunch of complaints or not. I put my unpostables in the Damaged Books Virtual Box in the games forum. I've gotten rid of unpostable WL books there and have gotten some from there.  Sometimes I post them on another book site that doesn't have conditions. I've never had trouble getting rid of an unpsotable WL book that I've put in my signature.  They're usually snapped up pretty quick and I have a really small shelf.
