Anyone heard of this line of erotic romance books? Aparently they are sold at Barnes&Noble book stores. I will try to make this story short........i went to visit a girlfriend of mine today. Well, she loves to read, as i do. She asked me while the kids were playing out of ear shot, if i liked a little "spice" in my romance novels. I said "sure". She said "follow me" , well she had a secret hidden stash of erotica romances, most of them the Aphrodisia(sp?) line from Kensington Press. She had a few Ellora's Cave books too. Keep in mind this is a  mild mannered, church going, sunday school teaching, straight laced farmers wife, who just revealed to me her " inner freak" when it comes to romance novels.........LOL, too funny!! So she 'borrowed' one of her favorites to me, with the strict insistance that i make sure i give it back when i'm finished. I don't remember the author's name, the title is "Show Me". Maybe tomorrow when dh is not sleeping(as he is right now) i will dig it out of it's hiding place and find the author's name. I just didnt want the kids to find it.lol

Heehee!  Everybody's got a hidden stash of something.  ;)

Maybe it is always the quiet ones.  LOL!  Course, I've got some spicy little novels upstairs myself, and I sure don't have a reputation for being racy!

Now I certainly like my erotica/romantica, but I have to say I've stopped buying Aprhodisia at book stores 'cause I just don't think its romantic.  I have a rating system for my books - kisses, warm, hot, sizzling.  Well, after I read a few Aphrodisia books I added "slutty".  I like hot sex, just put a little emotion behind it, not bed hopping and partner swapping just for the sex.  I may still pick them up at the UBS, but that's about it.  I've read Show Me by Celia May Hart, and I don't remember the whole thing but I'm thinking there was another couple involved at some point.

I also buy most of my erotica as ebooks - they are cheaper and easier to hide though not as easy to curl up with in bed.

I've got a stash myself.  I've got three Aphrodisia's on my TBR: Juicy, Operation G-Spot and ... something else.  I bought them at a library sale for fifty cents each!  Maybe I'll pick one up next.

Like Dee, I want a little romance along with my erotica though.  If the characters are just going through the emotions before the sex scenes, the book leaves me cold.  In a situation like that (if I don't care about the characters) even the sex is just so much gymnastics.
