I disagree with the call that this is best suited for those aged 4-8 years. The text will be a challenge to highly interested upper elementary students. Perhaps it is because of the fifteen stickers that lower elementary school students are singled out.
Very nicely done with durable coated cardboard pages and much explanation and information. It begins with castles and cathedrals and ends with Le Corbusier, Pei, and concrete and fabric architecture.
Sample: "Slate. Slate is a soft but waterproof stone. It is used primarily for roofing shingles and flagstone flooring. It is naturally layered in sheets so, with a few mallet blows to the edge, the splitter can get two sheets of slate from one. Illustration: Using a hatchet to rim the edges of a piece of slate."
Bibliography, glossary, and index.
Sadly no wishes so I will put it back on the sale shelf for someone else to have for two bits.
