This is a must read for anyone with connections to Guatemala. It's very well written and hard to put down.

If you have any interest in the Latin American politics of the Lost Decade (the 1980s)or murder/thrillers, this book is for you. Educational, horrific and thrilling. Goldman's account ranks right up there with the best of Capote.
