I think this is a very useful book for helping children learn to deal with the reality of war and the fact that many of our soldiers are called to battle. I especially liked the fact that the main character, a young girl, figured out something she could actually do to help herself and others.
Ashley's brother sets off to war. Ashley has to learn to trust her Heavenly Father to take care of her earthly brother.
