I just could not get into this one. I liked the previous Unleashed but this one was hard for me to read. The concept seem the same and it was boring to a point where I skimmed through it.

This book has strong characters who have their own issues and must overcome them.
I personally found the book hard to put down. It has action, romance, and you can see the characters making personal growth.
The plot is set up really well and it flows nicely. Great book and series.
This series is my favorite of any Atlantis books.

The world building in this series I feel is superb. Some of the warriors are damaged emotionally. Alexios is damaged physically. He was captured by Anubisa while attempting to protect Conlan. She kept him for two years and burned his face with demon fire. After she released him, he felt guilt for not protecting his Prince and for not being able to escape.
He finds a female warrior, Grace. She is an archer of near perfect abilities. She's just what Alexios needs.

Love this series. But novelas aside, this is the weakest of the books. Alexios' story should have been strong, dark and awesome. Instead, we have uncertainty and angst; which I guess was Ms. Day's point after all the poor warrior went thru under Anubisa's care. That hell was barely touched upon, we can only surmise. But frankly, what makes this series interesting is the intrigue and complexity of Atlantis, human, vampire and shifter societies. This thread is very slow if woven at all. And alas, over in less than 4 pages. We are left totally unsatisfied and wanting MORE. Til Brennan's story...

Yet another great one in the series. Love the romance...the adventure...each trying so hard to resist...but in the end, love wins. Good hot sexual tension. A good adult read.

I'm pretty sure I liked Alexios as a supporting character in the other series books but I'm finding his story to be rather boring. I like his manly confusion over his feelings for Grace but the storyline is just boring. Maybe it's just that the bad guys are tedious and way to much time is spent with them. I honestly didn't care for this book. For some reason I just couldn't get into it.
