I have a wishlisted audio CD that is in great condition except the outside box was exposed to water and has some damage.  I know hardcovers do not have to have dust covers and I think that the outside CD box would be the same as that but not sure.  The inside boxes, the sleeves that the CD's themselves slide into are in perfect condition with no damage whatsoever.  And if it is postable, can I just send the inside boxes and Cd's or should I offer the damaged outside box or just send it or what.  Not sure what to do with this one, need some advice.......

You might include a note (I did not say PM in advance) reminding them that the case is not required but you included it for their benefit so that they would have the information off of it, even tho it is water damaged, the book has not been damaged. This is just in case the person doesn't know, or forgets, that the outer case is not required and immediately marks it received with a problem, then discovers it wasn't afterall because it doesn't count.

After you accept the request, you might leave it up to the requestor as to whether or not you include the box. For me, I wouldn't want the box if it had been water damaged because of the possibility of mold or mildew, but that wouldn't keep me from still wanting the CD.  Carol Ann
