What do you do (besides purchasing credits) if you find a book you really want but you are waiting on credits to post to your account after you have mailed books out? Do you just hope it is still there when your credits post?

I'm new here so don't know all the fun features.

First of all, you can put the book on your Reminder list, and it will tell you how many copies there are in the system.  If there are a lot of copies available, then you may not need to worry about getting a credit to order the book right away.  Second, start using PBS Delivery Confirmation so that you get your credits quicker.  You need PBS money for this- you can get it at the PBS kiosk with a credit card or PayPal, I think (I use a cc for mine).  Then you will not have to wait for the book to be received to get your credit.  Lastly, market the books on your shelf in the Book Bazaar- offer deals to get them ordered, so you can get more credits.  Good luck!

Thanks. I've been trying to decide about the delivery confirmation. I think I may do that for the next batch of books. This was my first batch that I sent out since joining so it is a learning experience.

I had to break in another postal worker today.  I had 4 packages, all with PBS DC.....He is weighing the first one, and said smething about I have delivery confirmation.......yea, I said.  He printed off the first postage sticker w/o the DC included.  "The DC isn't free here"....nope, you have to scan the barcode.  He had to make up one for 18 cents, then went on to scan the rest of the packages, including scaning the barcode............He was very nice about it all.

You can also go to the kiosk and buy some book credits. When I am way down in credits, I get nervous, so hit the kiosk, use my debit card and I am ready to go again.  I can't stand to get low, as I have many books on the WL with automatic send on them.

Yeah...I bought a ton of credits when I was brand new and waiting for the books I'd sent out to arrive...probably at least 50 credits total over the first six months I was here. I was REALLY impatient back then! LOL

Well, I'll just have to take my chances and wait until my credits arrive. There is no extra in the book buying fund especially after I spent the postage to mail the books out.
