This book has it's times when it is slow and for me a bit boring, but overall it was a good read. It is so sad the killers were never acknowledged or persecuted. The NAACP should have appreciated his work when he was alive. Mr. Moore worked so hard for the cause and was not even paid for all his work. He asked for back pay and even after he died his girls never got it. Lord knows how those girls managed to pay for all the hospital and funeral costs for their parents. I always thought the NAACP was so wonderful to their members and workers. Little did I know about the organization. They should have been ashamed for their treatment of the Moore family. What a wonderful man to give his life to the cause. Did he realize he was endangering his entire family? I think not, but it was a messsage to all who were fighting for the rights of these poor people. They had to keep fighting or their won't be a President Obama today.
