I would give 'Charlie Mike' 10 stars if that were possible! Probably the MOST realistic and hard-hitting book ever written about 'Nam and the Rangers who fought there!
Scott knows weapons, tactics, and most important, he knows soldiers! No BS, no PC, no whining or apologies, just God-honest portrayals of American soldiers in combat.
I met Scott 'back in the day' at Fort Benning, and he is one hell of a man and soldier!
If you have ANY interest in the Vietnamese Conflict and/or Rangers there, this book should be number one in your library, with Scott's 'The Last Run' (CM's sequal) and 'The Hill' also prominant.
