This was way better than what I was expecting from a series romance! I was in tears by the end. I was reminded of an Amanda Quick book not by the setting or time period, which is contemporary here, but in the interactions between the serious, staid, rational hero and the sparkly, bubbly, dog loving heroine. Not only does Carson get the romance right but her observations about doctor's lives and the way women can be catty to each other are spot on. I've already picked up an earlier book in the trilogy.
