This book is a must read for any parent who has a mouthy, disrespectful, backtalking child. The 4 steps that are covered in this book make it possible to regain the respect of your child starting as young as 3 to college age. It offers practical advise on how to disengage from the backtalk and put the parent in control. If you have adopted the progressive style of parenting then this book may seem extreme to you, but there are plenty of interviews and case studies to show that this 4 step process really works. I only wish I would have read this book sooner.

I did not like the way this book was presented. Children are often rude because parents are rude to them, or unknowingly disrespect their differing personalities, motivations, etc. This was an authoritarian style book and does not work for all children. I do not recommend this book.
