Charles Boynton has loved Marguerite all of his life. Because of his unrequited love he has turned to writing poetry with a pseudonym of B.C. Rose. He poses as the Midnight Bandit to attract his love by writing love poems to her. Her husband has died and she is labeled the Poison Widow incorrectly. It is quite a tale with the two of them keeping secrets from each other but love finally prevails.
