An interest-catching story, combining history, natural history, and a keen sense of drama. The action takes place at night and the full page illustrations are shadowy, luminous with light and a touch of mystery. Good to read in a group - also good for individual reading. I also think the art class will like this book - the illus. were done with acrylics and colored pencils.
