I think originally written in 1961, this is a short account of an Irish woman wondering who she is after she leaves city life in London, a charming man, and a good job, and marries a man her family did not approve of with children that will not accept her as mom. It is her struggle to be who she "thinks" she should be that makes this story compelling. It might appear to be a sleeper, but I am glad I took the time to read this little gem.
