Are the Phillies making it?  They're still tied with the Mets, right?  Anyway, I predict Diamondbacks will beat the snot out of the Cubs, then we'll defeat the Rockies(because I don't want San Diego to get the wildcard, I like the Rockies better), then we'll meet the Yankees in the WS and beat them 5-2 for maximum tension.

Lynn, The Phillies won the NL East because the Mets lost and the Rockies hold there fate in there hands because the Padres lost to the Brewers. If the Rockies win they are in.So I think it will be the Rockies against the Cubs and the Phillies against the Diamondbacks. So does your prediction still hold I have not seen the Rockies play lately so if the Rockies are a great they surely will give my Yankees a run for there millions.

The Rockies are scrappy--actually they're having a playoff game tomorrow with the Padres(and yes I cheered against the Dbacks for them).  We'll have to see what happens tomorrow:)

I'm a sore loser since none of my teams made it to the playoffs.  So, I pick the Phillies for the NL and the Angels for the AL.

But if the Rockies are in it, then I choose them just because I like an underdog

I will be rooting for Eric Byrnes.  I've haven't seen a player play with so much heart in years (The A's never should have let him go)

Eric Byrnes is magic--that, plus the fact my son is a diehard Dbacks fan means I have to cheer for them(plus I'm a Cards fan, so I always cheer for anyone who plays against the Cubs, I think it's in the oath).

Well, I have a prediction which probably won't set too well with the Yankee fans!  :)  Boston beats LAA Angels in 4, Cleveland beats Yankees in 5, and the Red Sox win their second world series this year!!

Well if my Yankees lost all I will have to go with the Angels for the AL and for the NL I would probably go with the Rockies. But my Yankees have not won in a while so I think they are do.

Nah, Rockies are due, they haven't won a World Series yet, and man 13 innings to get to the playoffs in that last game.  That said, I'm going to have to cheer for the Dbacks, because I do love Byrnesy.

Ya Gotta Love Byrnesy! :)

Lynn, I believe A's fans have the same oath against that other team over in San Francisco.  We'll never wear the orange and black.

Well, the Diamondbacks and the Rockies will be playing each other. That should be an interesting series, I don't see either of them sweeping the other.

I'm a little disappointed so far.  I thought these were pretty good match ups, but the series so far have been one sided (unless it's your favorite team that won...LOL)  I thought the Cubs & Phillies would have a bit more fight in them.

The Red Sox are going to the ALCS!!!!  Happy dance.  Pounded the Angels 9-2 in Anaheim.  I do though really feel sorry for the Angels, their line up was so banged up.  Matthews Jr. didn't even play due to injury, Anderson had to come out in the 2nd inning because his eye infection was making his right eye swell so badly he was having a hard time seeing.  So, while I am happy for the Red Sox, I wish the Angels will get well soon!

The Yankees still have some fight in them!  They won their first game at home, so they will play game four at 7:00 tonight. I don't think it was really nice of Steinbrenner to threaten to fire Joe Torre if they don't move on.  What a way to "inspire" a team.  :(   But maybe George knows more that I do, because they sure came out swinging.  This series may prove to be very interesting.

Okay, the championship series are set.  I predict they will go to game 7 in the NLCS, and that the Rockies will prevail.

And in the ALCS, (you can see this one coming!) Red Sox in 6.

I have to say, that I am sincerely sorry for the Yankees.  I never thought I would say that in  my entire life, but I am.  They played so hard to climb back into the playoffs this year, and now they have the axe hanging over Joe Torre's head (and who knows who elses) to worry about.  I'm sure all the players will feel really, really guilty if Steinbrenner does fire Joe, thinking it was their fault for not beating Cleveland.  I apologize for not knowing this, but is Billy Martin still around?  Maybe George would like to hire him back.

I think Dbacks in 5 for the NLCS.  And, Indians(because I just don't want the Red Sox) in 7 for the ALCS.  Then the Diamondbacks will win the WS in 7.

Probably a good thing I don't bet on these things.

I agree about Colorado ~ after all they are up 2-0 and headed back home for three.  I guess you probably know who I think will be facing them in the World Series!  :)
