I am going to try and paste a link to an article..... http://365gay.com/Newscon07/08/080607indy.htm Anyone that's in a committed relationship needs to have Power of Attorney, Medical Power of Attorney and both name on all deeds. Better safe than sorry. Colleen

Stuff like this just makes me feel ill.  I read about that earlier today, I just want to slap the parents who know exactly what they are doing & can justify it because they feel their son's relationship of 25 years is a sin.

Things like this make my blood boil. How disgusting that these people are trying to keep their son from being with or even SEEING his partner. It saddens me that this poor man is not only disabled and probably cannot scream his wishes to be with his partner but, that he is left in the hands of people who treat his relationship as less than zero. He is a prisoner of their bias and lack of compassion.

Since we would be denied the same rights my SO and I made sure to have all the legal documents in place so that there is no question that we have the right and the legal ability to make all these types of decisions for each other. Paperwork that a hetero couple wouldn't need and certainly wouldn't have to PAY for to be treated as a couple with these implied rights.

Oh my god.  This gives me chills of disgust and brings tears to my eyes.

Greta and I just received our first drafts of all of this fun paperwork and my lawyer best friend is looking it all over before we get our final drafts.

This is in my area so I'm especially sick about it.  These people lived in my former neighborhood and I had no idea they are such bigots.  They have a store near our current home: Atkins Desserts from which I have actually purchased food ! !  Yuck!  They're known for their cheesecakes in this area; I hope they are equally known now for their hatred.

Unbelievable...  These are the same kind of people who condemned interracial marriages a couple of decades ago.

I can feel my blood-pressure rising.

These types of cases always make me so sad because obviously the parents don't love their children enough to respect their wishes.

I'm having a hard enough time convincing my s.o. that it's time to have the cat put to sleep.  I can't imagine trying to bring this topic up.
