I don't know all that much about WWII, so this was a real surprise to me. Three friends from college decide to sign up with the Red Cross as Clubmobile Girls. After their training in London they are station in various locations with the troops offering coffee, donuts and conversation. Fiona, Viviana and Dottie end up as a team Fi's fiancé has been classified as MIA after his plane was shot down. She hopes to find him, refusing to believe he's dead. The story is filled with historical facts, friendship, grief, hardship and love. Based on true historical events. Very good read!!!!
