Helpful Score: 4
Not exactly her best work but it was still a lot of fun. It is a slow to warm up kind of book. I love the humor and dialogue. It reads more like Showalter's alien huntress books than her Lords books, although William does have a cameo.
I especially liked how Showalter didn't change Nicola too much when it was time to kick some demon butt. She found a clever way to work around the fact that Nicola had no fight training.
Koldo was a typical caveman and extremely sweet at the same time. The bald thing with beaded beard is not my cup of tea but his personality won me over.
Decent story.
