Set in California, this book is a simple love story with Violet Winspear's interesting and well-written dialogue. The heroine goes temporarily to act as a governess to an unruly child in a Spanish Hacienda near Monterrey. She meets and gets involved with the hero's extended family. One scene involves a raging wild fire. Violet Winspear's imagery and sexual tension (without overt sexuality) as usual.
