Benyamin Cohen (born 1975) was the founder and editor of both Jewsweek and American Jewish Life Magazine. He is the author of the memoir My Jesus Year: A Rabbi's Son Wanders the Bible Belt in Search of His Own Faith. He is an Atlanta-born Orthodox Jew and attended Georgia State University where he majored in print journalism and minored in religion. In 1994, he created Torah from Dixie, a weekly publication that he distributed to synagogues in the U.S. In 1997, he developed this publication into a book by the same name.
