Disappointing. I thought the book had a good premise, the stories center around the inhabitants of one building on Park Avenue in NY, across a period of thirty years. The book had a great opening chapter, but in the end I don't think there was enough character development. I don't like books that don't delve into why characters act in certain ways, and this book just gave a serious of vignettes of several characters without giving enough why's to their stories. I came to like several of the storylines and characters in the book and would have enjoyed reading more about them.

This is a pretty decent story- about a building in Manhattan and the people who live there and the span of their lives over a few years.
