Some seriously strong French, but HILARIOUS. It's refreshing to not feel like a freak for reading romance. Ironically, during my lit classes, I'd tucked Harlequins in my text books (I still got good lit grades, prolly *because* I was reading romance). So this no-holds-barred book will make you laugh and think and, heck, those authors can not only write non-fiction, their attempt at fiction (Mad-Lib style-choose-your-own-adventure, esp. Man Of Your Dreams) was pretty stinkin' good!

Hilarious guide to romance novels. The women behind the Smart Bitches, Trashy Books romance blog cover everything from the history of the romance novel, to heroes and heroines, cringe-worthy plot devices, rape in romance, clinch covers and the future of the genre. The book includes little games and a "choose your own adventure" section. Very funny.

Oh, my! To say the language is "french" or "foul" or "obscene" doesn't do it justice. Words like I have never seen or heard - and I worked construction for a few decades! They might or might not have had anything decent to say between the extremely foul language. Oh, my! I would avoid this book at all costs. Oh, my. Just foul. No idea if their ideas were any good. Any ideas to be found were too buried in and overshadowed by the foulness of the words used.
