This book is perfect to read while sipping ice tea on a lazy summer afternoon. The series are a cute Southern cozy mysteries. Biggie is the typical Southern woman-of-a-certain-age, involved with community causes and tied in to the grapevine of her community. Her grandson and two loyal retainers live with her. When a local waitress is killed and her custody of her grandson is threatened, she must work overtime to protect those she loves. The story is told from the perspective of her grandson, and it's full of those details that make Southern lit so appealing.
