I found this almost unreadable. I'm sure she has some good ideas, but I had to read 30 rambling pages before I got to her thesis, and even then I was underwhelmed. I'm sure I agree with a lot of what she's saying. Unfortunately, too many references, too much flowery language and a manic pace do not make me wait to hear her point.

From the writer of Prozac Nation...

"Wildly exuberant, and exciting...This is a bitch of a book."

I found this book really difficult to read. If you read "More Now Again" you will see why. The author had many issues during the time she was writing this book. I enjoyed "Prozac Nation" but found this book to be scattered.

This book is so much more then I expected - it's very historic and academic & I'm very pleased with it ~ It does take a mental mindset to get into though: not a "easy read self-help" book!

What a slog. Really repetitive and focused on just a few main topics (pop culture events?) in 400+ pages. Sure there were some good points and quips, but many more times I wondered why I was reading this.
