When I picked up this novel, I expected a much different experience. I thought I would be learning about Indian/Pakastani culture. This is not that book. However, if you enjoy dramatic and twisting plot lines, you'll certainly enjoy this book. I really liked it, but was a bit disappointed there wasn't more information about the characters' culture.

Three generations of a family living with multitudes of lies. We see love bloom, wither, and bloom again in surprising ways. I think this novel had wonderful character and plot development, as well as an altogether satisfying ending. A lovely read, particularly for those who enjoy Indian authors!

Not the best written book but the women's stories and the Indian culture are fascinating.
