Through the whole book Dick strives to become a knight and rescue his true love. Although most likely the least known of Stevenson?s great adventure novels, ?The Black Arrow? is the best in the eyes of many. The plot is entertaining, clear and fast-paced while filled with multiple twists and turns. The characters are wonderful, as is the description and the writing itself. Though some of the language may seem archaic, it adds to the authenticity of the story. Though not an easy read in the beginning, ?The Black Arrow? is a truly intriguing book?recommended to anyone.« less
