This is the story a paramedic and his first year on the job. He works the streets of Harlem. Street tough and very graphic with a truly morbid sense of humor. Excellent , I was hooked from page one and couldn't put this book down.

This is a great story about the EMT/Paramedic profession and what can happen if someone becomes calloused. The author worked in New York as a Paramedic. Having an EMT in my family - once he read the book - his remark was " My God, I hope I never become calloused to the pain of others". This book is straight forward - informative at times and completely heart breaking at other times. Well worth the read.
