Finally a book that lives up to the hype... Some copies o this book sell for huge $$$$ on ebay... just like "The Sheep Look Up"--which was BAD.

This book was not. A family living in London when all grass starts dying sees (and hears from a friend) the problems that will be coming to the city (famine, etc) and heads for their relatives farm in the country--one that is easily defended as its surrounded by mountains.

This is the story of their trek to the farm as society breaks down. A great book--not too dated despite when it was written. While I wouldn't pay $$$$ for this... its a good story that SEEMS longer than it is (not many pages) because the story is so intense and detailed.
