I just love her books. Wish she was writing more books. I loan my books to friends and they keep asking me is there anymore? Great writer.

For fan's of Medlicott's and the Ladies of Covington, this is a wonderful book. For those who have not experienced this series, this book could stand alone. The ladies receive a metal box that was buried near their home containing letters and diaries from two Civil War soldiers (one Yankee and one Confederate). As they read the items, they become invested in the lives of the two men and are determined to try to contact any living relatives that may be in the area. They plan a Christmas reunion. Their efforts are well rewarded. Lovely, very interesting read and look into the everyday lives of soldiers of that era. Heartily recommend this book!
