Very good story by one of my favorite authors! Although some may not like her "old-fashioned" wording, I appreciate the authenticity of the style for the era they were written in. The theme of this book, a young girl struggling with pressure by others to marry a man who has turned out not to be the man of character she always thought him to be. Her journey through this struggle is a timeless theme, and applicable to the life of anyone who is debating the merits of their relationships.
