My first book by David Leavitt, but definitely not my last. A friend gave it to me after reading it, so I thought it very appropriate to pass it on via paperbackswap!

Very interesting story about a woman who was a bit "dumpy" and the secretary to a man whom she has an affair with. She also is a friend of his wife, who doesn't know about the affair. She thinks being "dumpy" as she is her friend will not suspect. The wife invites her to every Thanksgiving for years and never knows. Then "stuff" hits the fan. This was funny, had surprises thru out and all in all a nice fun read.

I read this book in one night. It is so easy to read and a captivating story. The title sounds morbid and dark - it is not - so do not let that stop you from reading this wonderful book!
