An impressive first novel from Meaney. The unique names and creatures in the book take some getting used to but the plot of a conspiracy to kill artists of all kinds and use their bones does suck you in and doesnt let go. An urban horror fantasy you will love.

I have not read a book like this. I'm glad, too. I'm always up for something new and this was definitely something new. A little steampunk, a little science fiction, a little horror, a little fantasy, a little thriller, a little mystery - even a tiny bit of romance... all blended together with a nice little twist at the end. I loved it!

This was a fabulous book with great characters, mystery and a strange world. The sequel was also excellent. Highly recommended for anyone who likes SF or even a mystery/police procedural in a futuristic world.
