Creepy from start to finish! A cold atmospheric book centered around the small, strange town of Dread's Hand, Alaska. It begins with one man stumbling into a diner and confessing to multiple murders but things are not what they seem. News of events lead our protagonist to make the journey to this small town in search of his missing twin brother. The townspeople are superstitious and wary of outsiders. Some of the children wear animal masks (how creepy is that?). I have come to love Malfi's writing. I have enjoyed every book I have read by him. I love how different they are so we never know quite what to expect.
