This is an amazing book. It weaves together the life of Bonhoeffer to include his family life, the development of his theology and world view, his struggles and his successes and failures without ever getting boring while providing documented historical detail that is seldom shared history studies. It's a great look at the life of a real man who was able to live his life for Christ, stand bravely for the persecuted, and die in pursuit of freedom for his beloved Germany.
