I thought that since we were all looking for books today I would add one to the list.

The one I am looking for is about a modern day woman who flies to see her friend in Scottland (i think). She keeps having these experiences with the resident ghost. They even have sex once. Any way you find out at the there was a strange twist and that the two lovers get to stay to gether. I know what happens but I do not want to spoil the story any farther.

So I just wondered if someone else knew this story and would tell me the author and title.

Hmmm...  This is making me think of Stardust of Yesterday by Lynn Kurland, except she inherits the castle instead of going to visit a friend in one.  Good book!

is it Everlastin by Mickie Madden?

He's a spirit...

1843.  Lachlan Baird brings his bride to the house he'd build especially for her.  But the honeymoon is cut short when Lachlan is murdered.

He's been huanting the place ever since.

She's the real thing...

1994.  After years of catering to others, Beth Staples is ready to live her own life.  While vacationing at a magnificient masion in Scotland, she meets the man of her dreams.

Too bad he's a ghost....

....And that's just the beginning.

Can a sesible modern woman and an irresistibly seductive spirit find happiness togheter?  With a little trust, a lot of love, and a few twists of fate, anything is possible.

There's a book that I read that is somewhat like what you described, "Beyond Forever" by Debra Dier.

1999. He appeared to her out of the swirling fog on the cliff's edge, a ghostly figure who seemed somehow larger than life. Dark, handsome, blatantly male, he radiated the kind of confidence that led men into battle and women into reckless choices. But independent-minded Julia Fairfield wasn't about to be coerced into anything, especially not a jaunt across the centuries in search of a miracle.

1818. Abducted from her own time, Julia found herself face-to-face with this flesh and blood incarnation. Gavin MacKinnon was as confounded as Julia about her place in his life, but after a night of passion, they learned that their destinies were inextricably bound together, no matter what the time or place.
